Here’s a quick overview of what the Semrush historical data is and how it can help you make better SEO decisions.

What is the Semrush historical data?

The Semrush historical data is a compilation of past search engine results on keywords and domains. The data includes information on the average number of keyword searches or traffic to a URL in a month.

The Semrush historical data also includes information on the SERP features that appeared for each keyword, including featured snippets, carousels, and rich results.

In addition, the data includes information about the ads that appeared for each keyword, including the ad type, the advertiser, and the ad position.

How does the Semrush historical data help in guiding your SEO decisions?

You can use the Semrush historical data to track your website’s performance over time, benchmark the progress of your site against your competitors, and also to evaluate the trend and potential of keywords, to decide if they are useful for your SEO campaigns.

For example, if you see that a keyword has gained a bit of volume and difficulty in the last two months, you know that it is becoming a competitive keyword, and you can decide to use it for your content creation before it becomes too difficult to rank for.

By giving you a clear picture of how your website has performed over time, the Semrush Historical Data can help you answer important questions like:

– What keywords have I ranked for in the past?
– How much traffic did my website get last month?
– What was my highest-trafficked page last year?

This data is essential for making informed decisions about SEO, content writing, and even your multilingual content marketing.

By understanding how your website has performed in the past, you can make better decisions about what to do in the future.
